The CRIST company was established in 1990 by shipbuilding engineers Ireneusz Æwirko and Krzysztof Kulczycki,
its sole owners.
Since the beginning, CRIST has been building and repairing sea-going ships and steel structures.
Changes in the world economy and development trends in contemporary technique and technology of mining
of natural resources, especially submarine ones, facilitated the company's participation in implementation of projects
in the scope of specialistic coastal structures, sea transport, and vessels for mining of sea resources.
Thanks to the possessed know-how, constant increase in qualifications of the personnel, application of modern
production equipment, and new manufacture technologies, our company has gained recognition not only
in the group of world shipowners but also companies leading in civil and harbour engineering.
Currently, the production potential of CRIST S.A. includes:
Plant No. 1 in Gdañsk, covering about 2,5 ha:
* 2 production work shops equipped with 2 overhead travelling cranes,
1 steel plate cutting machines, a steel plate bending press with pressure up to
400 tons, and rollers with bending length up to 10 running meters and plate
thickness up to 30 mm
* Prefabrication yard with jigs and a gantry crane
* Outfitting berth with 20 t and 5 t cranes
* 2 floating docks:
- internal size 25 x 156 m and load capacity 3,600 t
- internal size 12 x 68 m and load capacity 1,200 t.
Plant No. 2 in Gdynia (premises of the former Gdynia Shipyard) area 28,1 ha
with full production equipment, i.e.:
* Ship's hulls are finally assembled in a DRY DOCK - size 379 x 70 m, depth 8 m;
* Gantry Crane with lifting capacity of 1 000 tons and span of 153 m, one of the biggest
in the Baltic Sea area;
* 5 pcs of KONE Cranes with lifting capacity of 150 tons;
* A self-driven transporter with lifting capacity of 320 tons for horizontal transport
of ship sections and blocks;
* 4 building Halls suitable for plate and profile processing, prefabrication of
ship hull flat and three-dimensional sections, equipped with 61 gantry cranes and
jib cranes with lifting capacity of 5-120 t;
* Process line consisting of:
- blasting and painting line for steel plates and profiles,
- 10 pcs of steel plate gas and plasma cutting machines,
- steel plates and profile bending machines,
- rollers with working length up to 12 running meters,
- 3 hydraulic presses with capacity from 400 to 1000 tons;
* Ship section prefabrication line consisting of flat section assembly and welding lines
(profiles and web stiffeners).
The production potential of the Plant No. 2 is running at the processing level of
100,000 t of steel a year.
The production profile of CRIST S.A. includes currently:
* fishing vessels
* transport vessels (sea-going ships)
* sea structures and "off-shore" units
* sea-going boats and transport pontoons
* specialist vessels, including platforms and ships for assembly of wind farms at sea
* steel structures of port berths

Belgium, Island, and the USA.
